West Side Story (2018)

Based on Shakespeare’s drama “Romeo and Juliet”, West Side Story is the timeless classic of two young lovers Maria and Tony who have a chance… MCS productions presents the authentic classic in its original form. Featuring some of the most the most iconic of Broadway music including “Somewhere”, “Tonight”, “I Feel Pretty” and “America” West Side Story promises to be the highlight of the summer season.

TEN (2014)

Three celebrations; three world-class ensembles; two nights only! 2014 marked the tenth anniversary of Must Come See Productions (UWI Arts Chorale), the award-winning UWI Steel, and UWI Percussion. For the second performance, Must Come See Productions presented "Musicals in Retrospect" in a special script designed by Kendra Sylvester Flores.

Crazy For You (2013)

Featuring a “show within a show” as the Arts saves a small town.This musical recounts the life of a young New York banker, Bobby Childs who yearns to have a career on stage but has to escape the city to start a new life in rural Nevada where he hopes to revive a dying town by putting on a big theatrical production. Of course, he also has to win the heart of the tough-as-nails town beauty, Polly Baker.

Hair Spray (2012)

Hairspray is a satire of the injustices of parts of society during the 1960s and deals with themes of racial division and healing.The musical is set in 1962 (50 years ago) in Baltimore, Maryland where “pleasantly plump” teenager Tracy Turnblad has only one passion – to dance! Her upbeat personality and vivaciousness wins her a coveted spot on the local TV dance program, "The Corny Collins Show", and overnight she becomes a star. As the show progresses, Tracy wins hearts and rocks the social landscape with her turn-of-the-century ideas on camaraderie and equality for all.

Peter Pan (2011)

A fantastical tale of friendship and growing up. In this story, Peter Pan is the boy who won’t grow up. Accompanied by Tinker Bell, Peter Pan meets Wendy, John and Michael in their nursery while searching for his shadow.  He invites them to the magical Neverland.  There they join the Tribe of the Lost Boys, meet Indians and battle pirates, led by the notorious Captain Hook.

Elton John and Tim Rice’s AIDA (2010)

A story of choices; putting the greater good before oneself. Magically transporting us from the Egyptian wing of a modern museum to the dunes of ancient Egypt, AIDA centres on the emotional struggle of Nubian Princess Aida who is captured and enslaved during an Egyptian raid. In becoming a trusted confidant of the Egyptian Princess Amneris, Aida catches the eye of Amneris' fiancé, the warrior Radames. When Aida’s father is captured, she is torn… she must make a choice… between loyalty to her country and that to her heart.

Disney’s Beauty and the Beast (2009)

A story of adventure and seeing beyond what the eyes behold. Based on a beloved fairy tale, Disney’s Beauty and the Beast follows the fantastic adventures of Belle, a beautiful and intelligent young French girl who yearns to escape the tedium of her provincial life and the advances of her arrogant suitor, Gaston. Belle’s life takes an unexpected turn when she finds herself imprisoned by a brooding Beast, whose mysterious past hold the key to their future.

The Sound of Music (2008)

A true story of courage in the face of adversity. Set in 1938, The Sound of Music (based on Maria Von Trapp's autobiography The Story of the Trapp Family Singers) tells the story of Maria Rainer, a free-spirited nun who is hired by Captain Georg Von Trapp to care for his seven children. Although Captain Trapp is engaged to a wealthy socialite, he and Maria eventually fall in love and marry--but their happiness is soon shattered when the Nazis invade Austria.

Oliver! (2007)

Oliver! is the story of a young boy, living in a grim orphanage, who simply yearns for more ‘food’.  He is then sold into virtual slavery, but runs away to London and joins a gang of young thieves run by a “kindly” miser Fagin -- who adopts Oliver and adds him to his lovable rascals. However, misadventure causes Oliver to be caught on his first outing as an apprentice robber, but all ends well when he meets the kindly Mr. Brownlow; which leads to a surprising climax.

Fiddler on the Roof (2006)

Fiddler on the Roof  is an award winning epic set in Russia on the eve of the Russian Revolutionary Period; in the fictional town of Anatevka. It is here that Tevye, a milkman, lives with his wife and five daughters. Tevye attempts to straddle the dictates of his Jewish heritage and the larger Russian culture in getting his daughters married off using a Matchmaker. However, his three oldest daughters have much more modern ideas about love and each one takes her own path to get herself a husband.

Crazy for You (2005)

Crazy for You is the story of a young man, Bobby Child, in New York City who has dreams of being a famous dancer on Broadway but is trapped in the family banking business. He ‘escapes’ town to dead Deadrock, Nevada and revitalises a town of lazy cowboys. Of course, he falls in love with the only cowgirl in town, Polly Baker  -- but she spurns him.
