About

Kendra is a founding member and has been with the MCS Productions board since the company’s inception in 2005. An Honours graduate in Musical Arts from The University of the West Indies St. Augustine, Kendra is currently a department head and a music teacher at the International School of Port of Spain (ISPS) with a Master’s Degree in Education. A trained vocalist and actor (was the 2007 Cacique award winner for her supporting role as Mrs. Sowerberry in “Oliver!”) as well as a teacher, this Music Festival winner has been vocally coaching students, directing and stage managing the school’s musicals since 2008. These musicals include “Sleeping Beauty KIDS” (2008), “Pirates of Penzance jr” (2009), “Footloose” the musical” (2010), “MULAN jr” (2012), “Winnie the Pooh” (2013), “Dr. Seuss” (2014) and most recently “TUT, TUT” in December 2016 . Her most recent debut was as a purely theatrical director in the school’s 2017 High School production “Typecast”. No stranger to the stage her own roles have included supporting and lead roles in Derek Walcott’s “STEEL” (2006), “The Sound of Music” (2008), “Elton John & Tim Rice’s AIDA” (2010), “Peter Pan” (2011) and “Crazy for You” (2013) to name a few.
